The Brain Bends More Than the Spine
The Concept
Freud has influenced art and art gives away clues to those studying Freudian dynamics. Squinting at surrealist artwork and trying to figure out what in the name of Cthulhu was going through the artists' mind can be quite an adventure for a practicing psychologist. So without any further explanation about what went through my mind when I drew this piece...I present to you, "The Brain Bends More Than the Spine."
Style
Maximalism and Surrealism had a lovechild and it turned out to be the piece below with all its glorious sunflowers and snowdrops. Not to mention the beautifully black, clever crow.
PS. Spot the curly brackets.
L: The clever crow goes from black to deep black and tones of grey that show the light bouncing off its plumage.
R: Big brain, squishy medulla oblongata and a delightfully docile spine.
